Meet Yessenia

I am Yessenia Mina, the owner and lead planner of Gold Mine Events. I earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management at Robert Morris University in Chicago; IL and I’ve also received my certification in Wedding and Event Planning through The Wedding Planning Institute. 

Since I can remember I’ve always enjoyed hosting dinners with my girlfriends and throwing parties. My love for weddings and events started shortly after planning my own outdoor wedding in sunny Florida back in 2010. This was by far the most difficult party I've ever had to plan, but the most rewarding because I finally realized my passion for planning events. I decided to take a leap of faith and do what made me happy and brought me joy.  I came back to Chicago and dove right into everything and anything that related to weddings and events. I had my first wedding 3 months later, the rest is history.  I founded Gold Mine Events in 2013 shortly after I got certified.

 I’ve always enjoyed hosting dinners with my girlfriends and throwing some great outdoor parties since my birthday is in August. I’ve always known what I want and what I like. I’ve been guilty of buying my own cake because I’m very particular about everything. I realized my love for weddings and events shortly after planning my own outdoor wedding in Florida. This was by far the most difficult life event I’ve ever had to plan. I wish I would have invested in a wedding planner to manage my day and make sure everything I worked so hard for was taken care of. I came back to Chicago and three months later I had my first wedding. I literally dove right into everything and anything that related to weddings. I received my Certification in 2012 and launched Gold Mine Events in 2013. 

My passion for all things beautiful, planning, organizing and hosting events is what has brought me to this precious gem called Gold Mine Events. I am overjoyed as I make my dreams a reality, while helping others by bringing their vision to life and creating unforgettable moments.  

I believe every single couple has their own love story and their wedding day should be a reflection of their personality and who they are as a couple. My passion lies in helping others and for that reason I will make sure your day will be everything you’ve ever dreamt of and more.
